I am Pedro Lima Massarra, from Brazil. I work with the pairs English < > Portuguese as a freelancer and have already translated/proofread and edited legal documents, websites, a medical article and a biography.

  I have a bachelor’s in Public Relations and a bachelor's in English Language and Literature at two universities in Brazil. Also, a Cambridge certificate (FCE - First Certificate in English), as a certified approval in that Cambridge international exam.

 Here in my Proz profile page there is a reference from a lawyer to whom I have been working as an English teacher and translator. Working for him, I translated (from Brazilian Portuguese to American English) a highly confidential article of incorporation regarding to subjects of an American multinational settled in Brazil.

  In March of 2017 I started to work on translation/subtitling of videos (from English to Portuguese)  that deal with Physics subjects. 

  A biography of a Brazilian surfer who went to live in Hawaii twenty years ago was a totally different job that I carried out in 2017 as well. It was a translation, from Brazilian Portuguese to American English. That biography is filled with many photos and for that reason it was an interesting experience of formatting a book.

 Working on different kinds of projects gave me the chances of widening my experience as a translator. I’ve already translated videos, subtitling them, but also carried out projects such as the translation, from Portuguese to English, of an academic article on Physiotherapy and the aforementioned translation of an athlete's biography, really different tasks.
