Today, April 20, 2021, I delivered the proofreading of the sixth part out of ten related to marketing headphones and loudspeakers. The source was English and the target Hebrew. Because the text is about marketing a product, the Hebrew version should reflect a popular style used by Israelis. Consequently, I had to transliterate English terms instead of translating the phrase into Hebrew. The followings are two examples: The Hebrew term for USB, according to the Hebrew Language Academy, is ‎ הֶחְסֵן נַיָּד‎,‎ ובקיצור הֶחְסֵן But since the term ‎הֶחְסֵן נַיָּד‎ is not commonly in use, I translated the English verse in the source "a USB stick" as USB ‎זיכרון‎ The other example is the English term "Memory Foam" There is not a Hebrew expression for "Memory Foam."‎ The English term is typical to North America, and it is commonly related to pillows and mattresses. The ‎chemical material in a MEMORY FOAM allows it to mold to a body shape and "remembers" it.‎ Memory foam is often referred to as "viscoelastic" polyurethane. ‎ In the translation, I described the term ‎ ספוג הוויסקוזה הרגיש לחום שעוטפות את האוזן מספקים בידוד מצוין , גמישות ונוחות אופטימלית
