Mahdi - مهدى
I don't think "مهدى" is a very popular name in Egypt, but that's all I could think of considering the spelling.

About the other word; it means \"donkey\". If it meant as to scold someone, however, it should be translated as \"stupid\" or \"jack***\", excuse the word.

: The name "Mehdi" definitely makes the most sense in the context. I also concur with explanation of "hemar".
