If anyone else can help, I'd like to pop in another word, it may alos be Arabic, the word is HEMAR.
Non-ProZ.com Jan 13, 2005:
OK, that's cool. "ma he di, habibi, inta wahishny. ana a'iz ha ba ma'ak tool omry. Ana bahibak." Hope this gives insight.

Hi Zensouken - to give the answerers a better idea, it would be useful if you post the whole sentence (I know you did that before, and it was squashed for being too long, but it's ok to post the sentence as long as you're only asking for the words above)

Mahdi - مهدى

I don't think "مهدى" is a very popular name in Egypt, but that's all I could think of considering the spelling.

About the other word; it means \"donkey\". If it meant as to scold someone, however, it should be translated as \"stupid\" or \"jack***\", excuse the word.

agree Fadiwright : The name "Mehdi" definitely makes the most sense in the context. I also concur with explanation of "hemar".
