Arabic term

قانون الإعلامية والحريات

Arabic to English Other Medical: Health Care
again, same Arabic from French document. المجلس الوطني للإعلاميات والحرية and now قانون الإعلامية والحرية

Once again, الإعلام/ الإعلامية/ الإعلاميات here stands for informing not media.

Any suggestions ??

Discussion

be dependent on the final Kudoz answer accepted. I appreciate your recognition of my comment.
I don't think that the 24-hour deadline should be tied to the projects one works on. If one is satisfied with an answer, they can still use it and let Kudoz proceed on its own. One is not obligated to use the results from Kudoz, nor should Kudoz be depe

Got it wordforword :) and thank you :) my final answer actually was a combination of your suggestion and Aisha's. The problem with the 24 hours rule wordforword is that some projects are urgent. I was supposed to get that text done for my client within 24 hours :) But I'll try my best to avoid similar jobs next time ;-)
Arab Medic, I want to make sure you get my answer to your question, so please see the last note i put in. Where does the technology come in if we are not talking about media?
Non-ProZ.com Jul 26, 2005:
Mr. Hamid: your answer is the official form I'm familiar with, but it's not indecating the medical field as I know it! The law should be the one protecting patients participating in medical research. wordforword: your note regarding freedom is correct, but will you provide an English translation form please ??
Non-ProZ.com Jul 26, 2005:
actually neuneutek, I experienced the same trouble with the site just as umsarah :(
neuneutek Jul 26, 2005:
You may check their site IN ENGLISH: it does work and one of our dear colleagues just mentioned it : it's http://www.cnil.fr/ Just click ENglish or directly copy paste this address: http://www.cnil.fr/index.php?id=4 You'll find everything ALREADY TRANSLAT
neuneutek Jul 26, 2005:
In French, the term is: "la loi informatique et liberts". I am not sure how to translate this term into English but as far as I know that law is concerned with matters of MEDIA and informations.Like they see some text non-convenient , this law prohibits
Then my answer will be ( ). How is that?
Non-ProZ.com Jul 26, 2005:
Um .. I'm sorry wordforword, but I mentioned it in the previous questions so didn't list it here. This is an Arabic txt translated from french addressing people participatin as patients in medical researches. here stands for informing, not media: informing them that their files will be used for research and they'll be subjjected to some experiements and so on.

information technology and freedom act

this is a French law that protects the electronic data held about individuals. This is how the French law is translated as standard in English. The Anglo-Saxon equivalent in the Commonwealth (but note, it may not cover the same items) is "the Data Protection Act".

Data Protection and Rights Act

The above would probably be the best according to the site provided by Dr. Neu. Again, we should not override the 24-hour ruling ( We have to sleep, eat and drink and allow others in all time zones to provide responses and answer questions, etc.
