Καλησπέρα,
Και οι 2 είναι θεατρικού τεχνικοί όροι. Τα σταγκόνια είναι οριζόντια ξύλινα δοκάρια ή σιδερένιοι σωλήνες που βρίσκονται στην οροφή κατά μήκος της σκηνής και ανεβοκατεβαίνουν με τροχαλίες. Εκεί δένονται και ανεβοκατεβαίνουν τα σκηνικά και οι προβολείς.
Καμιά ιδέα για τους αντίστοιχους αγγλικούς όρους;

batten

batten -- long iron pipe that stretches across the stage and upon which scenery or drops are hung

from the glossary below, the other answer giving this reference, is inaccurate I believe, as it refers to the space and not the actual apparatus.
