: "Certification" is a process; "certificate" is the name of the relevant document.

: Both certificate and certification of graduation are OK ('certificate' is better). Γυμνάσιο is translated as junior high school.

: "High School" appears mainly in the names of certain kinds of school in the UK; as a general term for secondary school, "high school" is North American. This use of "graduation" is also American.

lower secondary school-leaving certificate
- assuming that this means the same as απολυτήριο γυμνασίου.
In lower secondary schools teachers assess students based on daily work, written tests, assignments and end-of-year written review examinations, Graptes Anakefalaiotikes Exetaseis. Promotion is based on achievement. Students who achieve an overall passing grade, at the end of the third year of lower secondary school receive a school-leaving certificate (Apolytirio Gymnasiou), which grants access to senior high school.

: "School-leaving" refers to terminating school-based education, not getting promoted to the next grade. E.g. when we speak of the different minimum "school-leaving ages" from country to country, we mean when a child is legally allowed to drop out of school

Thank you for your comment. I agree about "school-leaving age", but it's possible to talk about leaving lower levels of school: see, for example, "primary school-leaving certificate" (examples from various parts of the world).
