Greek term

υπεροχή τενοντίων αντανακλάσεων

Greek to English Medical Medical (general) neurological tests
υπεροχή τενοντίων αντανακλάσεων στο (ΔΕ) άνω και κάτω άκρο

Is αντανάκλαση used here in the sense of αντανακλαστικό?

Can reflexes said to be right-dominant or right-predominant, or is there some other form of wording?

Discussion

Dave Bindon Jan 3, 2011:
Probably right... But, if we simply try to say that the right is 'stronger' than the left, it could be interpreted as 'right is normal, left is weak'. All my research points to heightened reflexes on the right being the norm in these conditions. I think you will be fine if you use anything like exaggerated / heightened with reference to the right, as it could refer to the right being higher than normal OR higher than the left.
Dylan Edwards (asker) Jan 3, 2011:
The fact that the right side is mentioned makes me wonder whether this is just a matter of comparison between right and left, i.e. the reflexes on the right side could be "stronger" or "more marked".
