Indonesian term

bang - quake

Indonesian to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
Poem:

Okay the last question, can i refer to a explosion of quake as bang? (just to make the words being used become more variative). Btw, this is about the Tsunami

An almighty bang shakes the earth
The ground cracks, breaks up and splits
And releases the contents from beneath
The buildings are shaking hard
Then they collapse … hitting anything below

Thanks

Thanks people, here is the original

Hentakan maha dahsyat menggetarkan bumi
Tanah retak hancur terbelah
Dan mengeluarkan isi dari dalamnya
Gedung2 dan bangunan bergoyang keras
Kemudian ia roboh ... menimpa yang berada dibawahnya

I'm not sure, but "bang" implies that there's a sound that causes the earthquake, which surely is not what happens in an earthquake. Maybe "an almighty force"? or... "a pair of almighty hands shake the earth"? :)
some thoughts:
2nd line: "break up" and "split" sound the same to me. Refer back to the original text, or find more precise English words to correspond to the Indonesian words.

3rd line: maybe "pours forth its contents"? Although come to think of it, I don't know if "ground" (the subject of the sentence as you write it in the 2nd line) has "contents". It would make more sense for the earth to have "contents"

4th line: why do you suddenly switch to present continuous tense? It's not consistent with the lines above, or with the line that follows. So it should be "Buildings shake hard" (maybe "tremble"?)

5th line: maybe "crushing" instead of "hitting"? And it should be "everything" instead of "anything". I know "anything" is often translated into Indonesian as "apa saja", but here I'm guessing they want to say "segalanya", which is "everything"

may I suggest \"crumble\" for \"hancur\" (2nd line)
3rd line: maybe \"pours forth the contents of the earth\"?

well, hentakan can be translated as blow. Example the boxer get blows on his head. But because it is a poem, I do not know whether it is a \"beautiful\" word or not.
