Indonesian term

bugji

Indonesian to English Other Religion maybe from b. Arab
In an interview comparing the JW Marriott and Ritz Carlton bombings with the bomb discovered in Jatiasih, Bekasi, one of the paticipants is saying that the method isn't local, not part of their program. The following exchange occurs:

PEWANCARA WANITA: Dengan cara bom bunuh diri, Pak?
PRIA 2: ... saya ini kan salah seorang juga yang mensosialisasikan bugji.

I can't find 'bugji' anywhere. Any ideas?

teaching book

A wild guessing that it is bukji (instead of bugji), and this word is an abbreviation of buku mengaji or buku kajian.

This special book has content that motivates people to be a suicide bomber, as the wild guessing goes on ....

Hi Chaterine, there is another possibility along this line: buku janji (book of oath).

I just imagine that these would-be suicide bombers were required to sign copies of the book to declare their full and complete loyalty to the task assigned to them.

Pardon me for the spelling of your name. The should be moved further to the right.
Note from asker:
Dear friend, once again you have come up with exactly what I need. You are probably right and I have inserted a note about this possible meaning into the translation. BTW, in American English, the military acronym for such a wild guess is 'SWAG', short for 'Stupid Wild-Ass Guess'.
Erich, I suspect it is 'buku jihad', or 'book of jihad'. There are 14.6 million Google hits on 'book jihad'. It fits the context here, so that's what I am going to use. Even though I haven't used your suggestion, I am giving you the points, because you pointed me in the right direction. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had a clue! Thanks again.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "rather than 'teaching book', I've used 'jihad book' or 'book of jihad'. There are 16.4 million Google hits and this translation fits the context."
