Off topic: Translation of "Forceur" from FR to EN Thread poster: Dr Sarai Pahla, MBChB

Hi everyone! While chatting to some Ingress friends (www.ingress.com), someone called someone else a "forceur" as a joke, and we're trying to figure out the appropriate term in English. The description is someone who is very eager to get something, to the point of being overbearing. Is there a single term (preferably slang, however regional) to describe this?

That would be a common enough US label for someone who seems overly enthusiastic about something. | | | Eager beaver | Sep 15, 2017 |
I don't think "eager beaver" suggests the element of bossiness of the word "forceur", whereas "pushy" does. An eager beaver is someone who is madly keen but not necessarily bossy or pushy. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Translation of "Forceur" from FR to EN TM-Town | Manage your TMs and Terms ... and boost your translation business
