I am working with WIndows XP and Trados 5.5. The file (some 4500 K)is in RTF format. Once in a while Trados refuses to process a segment and that notice ('Invalid RTF format')appears. Not even 'Fix the document' works. The only way to solve this has been (so many times up to now...!) restarting the PC; the file opens the same as I saved it and Trados starts to work without trouble (until some time later). Any hint?

Most of the time (but not always), this problem is not related to the document, but to your TM. In fact, there are several previous discussions related to this issue, with several suggestions - use the forum search for "invalid RTF format" to find them.
Best regards, Ralf
