Good morning to everybody!

I'm a beginner in translations. I use TRADOS 6.5 and Multiterm 5.5.
I received a glossary in .xls format from my client and I don't know how to convert it in a termbase in .mdb format, so as to use it in my translation.
I will be grateful for any help.
Thank you.

Lumi

.mdb vs. MT 5.5 Apr 19, 2006

Hi Luminita,
I use TRADOS 6.5 and Multiterm 5.5.
I received a glossary in .xls format from my client and I don't know how to convert it in a termbase in .mdb format, so as to use it in my translation.

MultiTerm iX (MT 6.x or 7.x) uses termbases in MS Access format (.mdb); MultiTerm 5.5 cannot handle them.

See the Trados KB article 827 for details on how to convert into .mtw.

HTH, Ralf
