Ever since I lived in the New York City, where I attended Columbia and New York University, I became obsessed with translation and the proper way to say everything in both languages.

When I got my first job as a creative assistant, almost ten years ago, my first assignment was to perform a small translation. More translation work followed and I realised I had to work a lot in order to do a really good job, that is, to make an original English text sound as if written by a Brazilian and vice-versa.

In the past years I have done translations in the areas of culture, arts & entertainment, marketing, astrology and occultism, politics and philosophy. Currently I am working on a book on legal theory for a major Brazilian publisher.

I am also majoring in Classical Greek at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

I have alternated translation work with other jobs. The highlights are:

- Junior editor for Brazil's National Library magazine "Nossa História"

- Content manager for two websites.

- Assistant editor to a volume of collected works by Otto Maria Carpeaux, a famous literary critic.

These works and others gave me familiarity with other processes which are important for doing translations, because they made me constantly imagine the possible reader of my texts and also the context in which they would be read.
