Bio

Both my postgraduate degree in 'Specialised Translation and Interpreting' and my undergraduate degree in 'Linguistic and Cultural Mediation' allowed me to gain extensive knowledge and understanding of the translation process and techniques.

I translated the literary screenplay of the 1937 Chinese movie 压岁钱 (New Year's Coin) into Italian. The film itself is an anti-capitalist morality tale and I produced a subtitled version for the final dissertation of my Masters degree.

I have recently relocated to my hometown Lecce – southern Italy – after spending a few years abroad between the United Kingdom and Spain. In the UK, I undertook some translation work on a freelance basis while employed full time by an Italian fine foods importer and I continued working as a freelance translator after moving to Spain. My ability to manage client relations with a culturally and linguistically diverse clientele has been honed by and key to every role I have so far undertaken and will keep being one of my main skills.
