Well I'm *not* an expert, but since you said it might be Russian I thought I'd try to find out... I looked it up and found "desmurgy" plus an explanation: "the technique of applying dressings". However, I'm not convinced desmurgy is a word in English as the relatively few hits it throws up all come from Polish/Ukrainian etc. sites. One gave another, similar definition in Russian:

Десмургия - Desmurgy (англ.)
Учение о наложении повязок (loosely, "the study of applying dressings")

But as I say, I can find no evidence that desmurgy exists in English, so maybe it's better to put "wound dressing"? Anyway, I hope this will start you off in the right direction, if nothing else.

I presume you don't read Russian but the first line reads "an area of minor surgery devoted to the study of bandages". It then draws a distinction between bandages and dressings... I won't go on, but I think that gives us the general picture.
