I regret for returning so late to the matter. POS-terminals are connected to governmental fiscal systems and should convert every bar-code or RFID-tag-code into a stored sample. May be your suggestion is correct in the specific case, when shops weigh fruits at POS-terminals and quantity is processed with retail-price of the commodity of the stored list.
