Dear Colleague, kindly check my above answer. It's "Life entity". I also like "Life per se". But I do not favor or see it possible to adopt the third option: "italicising the word 'life' for emphasis and leaving the word 'kiyan' untranslated". My regards.

Note from asker:
What do you think of the translation 'entity of life'? I have seen this phrase being used in some books. Also, how about italicising the word 'life' for emphasis and leaving the word 'kiyan' untranslated? What about translating the phrase as 'life per se'? |

Life/ essence of life
My advice is to prioritise readability and natural-sounding target text. To me, it seems that the writer simply meant to say "in life", and that would make a lot more sense to the reader than going for a literal translation. That's certainly what I would do.
An alternative may be "essence of life".

Entity of life is a good option too.
