The conventional method of using combing noil of this type consists in subjecting the raw (i.e.)crude cotton fibres to, successively, preliminary *beating and opening-up operations* in such a manner as to obtain *cotton flock* which is opened up and physically cleaned and then subjecting this cotton flock to a scalding treatment which consists in removing the greases(pectins, vegetable wax, etc) which are found around the fibres.
