A pusztagyep latin neve egyébként Brometum vagy Bromus (tectorum, secatelosum, erecti, stb.), ami angolul brome (grass) (tehát nevezhetnénk loessic brome grass-nak), de itt azt hiszem, grassland értelemben használják.

Gyűjtőfogalom, többfajta fű és más növény tartozik ide. A Google 7 találatot ad rá. Hogy a fordításba kell-e a puszta, azt nem tudom. Ha igen akkor lehet "loess-steppe grass". Persze van ebben találgatás is.
