magnate estate / manorial estate
The term latifundium is synonymous with other terms commonly used for large estate systems: Russia’s pomiestny, Prussia’s Junkerdom, Poland’s magnate estate, and Latin America’s hacienda (fazenda in Brazil, estancia in Argentina, fundo in Chile, finca in Bolivia and Peru). - http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Latifundia.aspx
---------------------
In Latin America the latifundia evolved into manorial estates that bore much in common with the feudal estates that dominated Europe during the Middle Ages - http://goo.gl/S9Uyr - page 271

: Tylko wydaje mi się, że powinno być "aristocratic latifundia" http://books.google.com/books?id=HA423-LLsv4C&pg=PA287&lpg=P...

: latifundia are associated with Romans, Latin America or Spain.... Castilian latifundia but Polish serfdom, hence manorial estates are more appropriate here
