Source text - English Toofan anti-armor missile system is a laser-guided system with the ability to strike at low-flying aerial targets, which is manufactured by the Iranian Defense Ministry experts and is a copy of TOW missile system.
The Toophan is an Iranian SACLOS anti-tank guided missile reverse-engineered from the American BGM-71 TOW missile. The Toophan 1, an unlicensed copy of the BGM-71A TOW missile, began mass production in 1988 and the Toophan 2, a BGM-71C ITOW variant, was publicly shown in 2000. The Toophan comes in at least 11 variants, many of which are poorly documented, including variants with laser guidance, thermobaric warheads, and tandem-warheads with increased penetration. The Toophan is manufactured jointly by the Aerospace Industries Organization of Iran and Iran Electronics Industries.
The Toophan is normally deployed from ground-based tripods. It can also be mounted on fighting vehicles and helicopters. Like the BGM-71 TOW missile, the Toophan is a large, rugged, powerful, and reliable anti-tank guided missile deployed by small teams against tanks, armored vehicles, buildings, and other targets. The Toophan forms the backbone of the Iranian Armed Forces's ATGM inventory and is procured in large quantities in a variety of variants. The Toophan has been exported to the governments of Iraq and Syria and to a large number of non-state actors in the Middle East. It has been used in the Iran-Iraq War, the 2006 Lebanon War and the Iraqi, Syrian, and Yemeni civil wars.
In 2014 Iran showed a Toophan/TOW simulator they built for helicopter-launched missiles. In a December 2016 military exercise Iran used the missile against naval targets. In 2018 Iran showed off thermal-sights which can be used with the Toophan. The Toophan can be mounted on Boragh APCs, ATVs, or Safir jeeps. Toophan missiles can be repaired by Iran's Shiraz Electronics Industries.

What exactly is a brand? Hint: It’s not a company’s logo or advertising. Those things are controlled by the company. Instead, a brand is a customer’s gut feeling about a product, service, or company. People create brands to bring order out of clutter. If the word BRAND didn't exist, we’d have to invent a new one, because no other word captures the complexity and richness of this concept. The only word that comes close is “reputation”. Your personal reputation, like a company’s brand, lies outside your control. It’s not what you say it is—it’s what THEY Say it is. The best you can do is influence it.
lf a brand is a customer’s gut feeling, then what’s the definition of branding? Briefly, it’s a company’s effort to build lasting value by delighting customers. While the formulas for measuring brand value are complex, the goal of branding is simple: To delight customers so that MORE people buy MORE things for MORE years at a HIGHER price. Branding also has a karmic side. For example, if a company promises more than it delivers, its brand will suffer, which will cause the opposite effect: FEWER people buying FEWER things for FEWER years at a LOWER price. Companies serve at the pleasure of their customers.
ROSSER REEVES GOT ONE OUT OF THREE.
For many years Rosser Reeves worked at the Ted Bates agency, and in 1967 he wrote a book called REALITY IN ADVERTISING. In it he urged advertisers to focus all their communications on a Unique Selling Proposition, or usp, asserting that “the customer tends to remember just one thing from an advertisement—one strong claim, or one strong concept.” While USP was a powerful idea in 1961, the only part of his phrase that seems powerful today is the “unique” part.
Customers today don’t like to be sold—they like to buy, and they tend to buy in tribes. Better advice for companies is to focus their communications not on a usP but on a UBT—a Unique Buying Tribe— that has a natural affinity for the company’s products or services. In a tribe, news spreads quickly, which gives brands extra traction.
USP was about PUSHING products and services. UBT is about PULLING people into a tribe they can trust. In a marketplace of me-too offerings, people don’t seek features and benefits so much as tribal identity. “If I buy this product”, they seem to ask, “what will that make me?”
THE TROUBLE WITH ADVERTISING.
Traditional advertising is in a death spiral. Media have splintered into smaller and smaller channels, so that it now costs too much to reach a large enough audience. But the root causes for the death spiral are twofold: 1) People don’t like one-way conversations, and 2) People don't trust advertising. As a result, many are voting with their feet.
Traditional communication vehicles such as television commercials work best with intrusive, one-way selling messages. But since people now have a choice, they’re choosing to spend more time on the Web, where communication is more like a conversation than a sales pitch. They’re also listening more to their friends, in a return to the word-of-mouth culture that existed before mass communications. Unfortunately, as audiences turn their backs on intrusiveness, the advertising industry is fighting back with even more intrusiveness. This is the first reason for advertising’s death spiral.
Traditional advertising also works best when the promise is large—larger than the product or service can deliver—which is why people long ago learned to distrust it. In a 1998 Gallup poll rating honesty and ethical standards across a range of professions, advertising people ended up near the bottom, sandwiched between lawyers and car salesmen. Today 92% of people skip the commercials on their recorded programs. How has the industry responded? By hitting further below the belt—sneaking advertising into editorial copy, television content, movies, and events, all under the euphemistic heading of product placement. This blurring of “church and state"—content and advertising—combined with exaggerated promises has created the second reason for advertising’s death spiral.
Will the industry pull out of its tailspin? Probably, because advertising people are smart, and will find ways to reinvent their industry. Will it still be called advertising? That’s another question. What people want today are trustworthy brands. What they don't want is more intrusiveness, more empty claims, more clutter.
DON’T OFFER MORE—OFFER DIFFERENT.
One day in 2005, the top two stories in THE WALL STREET JOURNAL were: 1) “The U.S. economy appears to have lost steam,” and 2) “Apple’s profit surges more than sixfold.” The message was crystal clear to any CEO who happened to glance at the headlines that day: To succeed in a competitive business climate, you have to innovate. Apple’s philosophy of “Think different” may turn out to be the mantra for 21st century business.
Differentiation, the art of standing out from the competition, is not front-page news. What is front-page news, in a world of extreme clutter, is that you need more than differentiation. You need RADICAL differentiation.
The new rule: When everybody zigs, zag. Traditional differentiation is an uphill battle in which companies lavish too much effort on too few competitive advantages: the latest feature, a new color, a lower price, a higher speed. Radical differentiation, on the other hand, is about finding a whole new market space you can own and defend, thereby delivering profits over years instead of months.
Think of radical differentiation as the engine for a high-performance brand. It gets you on the fast track to having more people buy more stuff for more years at a higher price. It creates a strategic filter for questions such as “What should we do?” “What should we make?” “Who should we make it for?” “Who should we hire?” and “How should we behave?” With a zag, you can start a new category that your customers, your employees, your partners—even your competitors —will help you build. Without a zag, you could easily end up in the fossil layers of market clutter.

Source text - English Nobody knew what to do at first. Deposit slips fluttered to the floor. A man touched the rim of his baseball cap to make sure it was still there.
The bank robber seemed just as shocked. There were too many people. He realized that, despite all his preparation, he hadn’t considered the afternoon rush.
“Put your hands up,” he said, and people more or less did that. “You’re all hostages now.”
“We don’t want to be hostages,” someone said.
“That’s not how this works,” the bank robber said. “I come in, you all become hostages, I get some money and leave, and then you’re free again.”
“We’re afraid,” someone else said.
The bank robber got it—he was also afraid.
A bank teller waved her hand, which was still raised above her head. “I’ll be the hostage,” she said.
“You are already one of many hostages,” the bank robber said.
“Then everyone can go and sit in the old vault,” she said. “There’s no way to call for help in there, and it has a heavy iron door. That means fewer people to mess things up. And I can access everything up front.”
It was a good plan and made the bank robber feel less like he had screwed up by coming in during the rush. “You’re sure there are no alert switches or emergency phones in there?”
“It’s a hundred years old,” she said. “You couldn’t get a call out of there if you tried.”
The hostages all turned to see what he would say. He shifted his gun from one hand to the other.
“Fine,” he said.
They all went to the old vault and the hostages filed in silently. There was plenty of room for them to sit or stand; they would be comfortable there. The teller turned an iron wheel to lock them in. “All right,” she said. “Let’s get to work.”
She opened every teller station using keys on a ring she kept at her waist. He watched her stack the money in a duffelbag, one of two he had brought for the purpose. He was grateful for her knowledge and assistance, if a little unsettled that she was offering it all so freely.
“You’re not putting a dye pack in there, are you?” he asked.
The woman turned to look at him, and he was surprised to see that his question seemed to have wounded her. “I would never,” she said. “What would make you say that?”
“I’m sorry.” He tried to think about what would make him say it; he had seen a dye pack in a movie once and knew that it could explode and make a terrible mess. There was a lot that he didn’t know about robbing banks, and every moment was another opportunity to reveal his ignorance.
She seemed to sense his hesitation and plucked a pen from one of the teller stations, rolling it across the counter toward him. “Why don’t you go sit down over there and draft a taunting letter to the police,” she said. She pointed to the mortgage officers’ desks, which ringed the lobby.
He pulled back the leather chair behind one of the desks and sat. It felt funny to be behind a desk, dressed as he was in black fatigues. The bank robber couldn’t remember the last time he’d sat behind any desk, and he’d certainly never been near one this nice. He stared at the empty page. Writing had never interested him in school; though he knew he had something to say, it gave him an uneasy feeling. He put his gun in the outgoing-mail tray and dumped a box of paper clips onto the desk.
The woman noticed him stringing paper clips together. “You could start with, ‘Fuck you, pigs, dumb motherfuckers,’ ” she said. “Or, if you want it to be more personal, you could try, like, ‘I’m the motherfucking heist king and you know it.’ It depends on the tone you want.”
“Motherfucking heist king,” he repeated, writing it down.
“You’re welcome.”
“Yes,” he said, a little annoyed. “Thank you.”
He printed “Motherfucking Heist King” at the top of the page, then wrote it again and again, trying out different handwriting styles and lining the paper with a chain-link pattern. “Motherfucking Heist King”—it really was a nice phrase. Maybe if he could make a design with it, they would get the point of what he was trying to say. What was he trying to say, anyway? He realized that he hadn’t actually considered writing a letter until it was suggested to him.
After a while, the teller came out from behind the counter to get his other bag. She looked over his shoulder at the page, which by then was covered in designs of his own creation. “Want me to write it?” she asked.
He handed her the paper and stood, surprised to find himself so irritated at someone who seemed only to want to help him. Walking to one of the high windows, he saw that a few police cars had begun to gather. “Maybe I should go,” he said.
She went back behind the counter with a pointed sigh and started to fill the second bag. He watched her poking around the cabinets. Outside, the police were setting up a barricade.
“I’m going as fast as I can,” the teller said. She sounded angry. “I have to write your stupid letter and pack up this cash and get everything organized. I’m only one person.”
“I didn’t say anything.”
“This obviously isn’t about me,” she said. “I’ve seen this a million times before. You come in here for a little quick cash, you want to make a getaway. Am I wrong?”
“You’re the bitch who volunteered.”
“Wow,” she said. “I guess I must have said something to deserve that.”
She sounded exactly like his mother, which the bank robber realized was just typical.
“Maybe you should go and get in the vault now,” he said. “You’ve helped me out. I appreciate you. I can take it from here.”
“Yeah, right,” she said. “You think I’d let you finish this alone? I’ve done too much for you already to just walk away. I’m in it for the long haul.” She threw the last stacks of cash into the duffel so hard that it slid off the counter, sending its contents spilling across the floor.
He turned back to the window. If he just stayed out of her way, it would be over soon enough.
Grumbling, she crouched down to clean it all up. At the very least, she figured, he could have helped when the bag fell. Thinking of others clearly wasn’t in his nature. She was actually getting pretty tired of his attitude: his inability to speak up, his dismal lack of self-confidence, his unwillingness to take a stand with either the hostages or the police. He didn’t have a point of view or an exit strategy, was content to remain in limbo. It was pathetic, really.
When he approached the counter, the blank look on his face sickened her; it was the look of a man completely unable to understand the future or to confront it.
“What?” he asked.
She slid the bag across the counter and spread her arms wide, levelling upon him the full power of her scorn. “You might as well just fucking shoot me,” she said.

누군가 말하자 강도가 대꾸했다.
“그런 식이 아니야! 여기 내가 있으니 너희는 모두 인질이 되는 거야. 내가 돈을 챙겨 떠나면 그때는 다시 자유야.”
“무서워요.”
또 다른 사람의 말에 은행강도는 마음속으로 동의했다. 그도 역시 두려웠다.
“내가 인질이 될 게요.”
여자 출납원이 머리 위로 손을 흔들면서 말했다.
“넌 이미 인질이라고.”
은행강도가 말했다.
“그러면 모두 금고로 들여보내는 게 어때요? 무거운 철문이 달린 데다가 금고 안에서는 밖으로 연락할 수 없어요. 일을 망칠 사람이 줄어든다는 뜻이에요. 내가 창구에 접근하게 해줄 수 있어요.”
혼잡한 시간에 들어와서 망했다는 생각을 덜게 하는 좋은 계획이다. 강도가 물었다.
“금고 안에 경보기나 비상전화가 없는 게 확실해?”
“백 년은 된 금고에요. 전화를 걸고 싶어도 그러지 못할 걸요.”
출납원이 말했다. 인질들은 모두 대답을 궁금해하며 강도를 쳐다보았다. 강도는 한쪽 손에 쥔 총을 다른 손으로 옮겨 쥐면서 말했다.
“좋아.”
인질들은 모두 입을 다물고 오래된 금고로 들어갔다. 그들이 앉거나 서 있을 공간은 충분하므로 불편하지는 않을 것이다. 출납원이 핸들을 돌려서 금고 문을 잠갔다.
“좋아요, 시작하죠.”
출납원은 허리에 찬 열쇠로 모든 출납창구를 열었다. 강도는 그가 가져온 두 더플백 중 하나에 출납원이 돈다발을 집어넣는 것을 지켜보았다. 강도는 출납원의 지식과 도움이 기꺼웠지만 그녀가 자의로 그러는 것에 약간 불안감이 들었다.
“다이팩(dye pack, 폭발하면서 염료 자국을 남기는 도난 방지용 염료팩)을 넣은 건 아니겠지?”
강도가 묻자 출납원이 뻔히 쳐다보았다. 질문을 언짢아 하는 것 같은 모습에 강도는 당황했다.
“절대로 안 그래요. 왜 그런 말을 하는 거죠?”
“미안하군.”
그는 자신이 왜 그런 말을 했는지 생각했다. 언젠가 영화에서 다이팩을 한 번 보고, 그것이 폭발하면 돈다발이 염료로 범벅이 된다는 것을 알았다. 강도는 은행털이에 대해 모르는 것이 많았고, 매순간 그의 무지가 드러났다.
출납원은 강도가 우물쭈물하는 것을 알아챘다. 그녀는 창구에서 펜 한 자루를 집어 강도를 향해 카운터 위로 굴렸다.
“저쪽에 앉아서 경찰을 약 올리는 편지를 쓰는 게 어때요?”
출납원은 로비 가장자리에 있는 대출 담당 직원들의 책상을 가리켰다.
강도는 책상 하나를 골라 그 앞에 있는 가죽 의자에 앉았다. 검은색 작업복을 입고 책상 앞에 앉아있으니 우스운 기분이 들었다. 마지막으로 언제 책상 앞에 앉았는지 기억하지 못하지만, 그때의 책상이 지금 은행에 있는 것만큼 좋지 않았음은 분명했다. 강도는 백지를 쳐다보았다. 학창 시절 글쓰기에는 전혀 흥미가 없었다. 무슨 말이든 써야 하지만 어떻게 표현해야 할지 몰라 불안에 휩싸였다. 그는 발송우편함에 총을 내려놓고 페이퍼클립 한 갑을 책상 위에 쏟았다.
출납원은 강도가 페이퍼클립을 끈처럼 연결하는 것을 알아차리고 말했다.
“’뒈져라, 돼지들아. 멍청한 후레자식들 같으니’라고 시작하면 어떨까요. 혹시 좀 더 개인적으로 보이고 싶다면 이렇게 쓸 수도 있지요. ‘나는 비열한 강도왕이다. 너도 그걸 알고 있다.’ 어떤 어조로 쓰고 싶어 하는지에 따라 다르겠지만요.”
“비열한 강도왕.”
그는 편지를 쓰며 반복했다.
“고마워할 필요 없어요.”
“그래. 고마워.”
강도는 약간 짜증스럽게 말했다. 그는 페이지 맨 위에 “비열한 강도왕”을 정자로 반복해서 썼다. 여러 가지 필체를 연습해보고 종이 테두리에 다이아몬드 패턴을 그렸다. “비열한 강도왕”은 정말로 멋진 구절이다. 이 구절을 잘 활용하면 아마도 사람들은 그가 하려는 말의 요점을 알아들을 것이다. 그나저나 그가 무슨 말을 하려고 했더라? 강도는 출납원이 제안하기 전에는 편지를 쓸 생각조차 안 했다는 사실을 그제야 깨달았다.
잠시 후, 출납원이 다른 더플백을 가지러 카운터 뒤에서 나왔다. 그녀는 강도의 어깨너머로 낙서가 가득한 종이를 보더니 물었다.
“내가 써줄까요?”
강도는 출납원에게 종이를 건네고 자리에서 일어났다. 그는 자신을 도우려는 사람에게 짜증이 난 상태임을 깨닫고 놀랐다. 그가 높은 창으로 가서 밖을 내다보니 경찰차 몇 대가 모여들고 있었다.
“이제는 가야겠어.”
강도가 말했다. 출납원은 날카롭게 한숨을 내쉬며 카운터 뒤로 돌아가 두 번째 더플백에 돈다발을 채워 넣기 시작했다. 강도는 출납원이 캐비닛을 뒤지는 것을 쳐다보았다. 밖에서는 경찰이 바리케이드를 치고 있었다.
“난 최대한 빨리 했어요.”
출납원이 화난 목소리로 말했다.
“편지를 써주고, 현금을 담고, 모든 상황을 정리해야 했어요. 내 몸은 둘이 아니라고요.”
“난 아무 말 안 했는데.”
“문제는 내가 아니에요. 난 이런 걸 백만 번은 보았다고요. 당신은 재빨리 현금을 챙겨서 도망치고 싶을 거예요. 내가 틀렸나요?”
“네년이 돕겠다고 나섰잖아.”
“아니, 그 상황에서 무슨 말이든 해야 했다고요!”
강도는 그녀의 태도가 전형적이라고 생각했다. 꼭 그의 어머니가 말하는 것 같았다. 강도가 출납원에게 말했다.
“너도 금고로 들어가는 게 좋겠군. 도와줘서 고마워. 여기부터는 내가 알아서 하지.”
“아, 그래요. 이걸 혼자서 끝내게 내버려 둘 줄 알아요? 난 이미 당신을 위해 너무 많은 일을 했어요. 그냥 가버릴 수는 없다고요. 결국 나도 여기 끼어든 거잖아요.”
출납원은 그렇게 말하면서 마지막 돈다발까지 더플백에 던져 넣었다. 어찌나 세게 던졌는지 더플백이 카운터에서 떨어져 속에 든 현금이 바닥에 쏟아졌다.
강도는 다시 창밖을 내다보았다. 그가 여자의 행동을 방해하지 않는다면 이 상황은 곧 끝날 것이다.
출납원은 돈다발을 주워담으려고 투덜거리며 몸을 쭈그렸다. 적어도 더플백이 떨어졌을 때는 강도가 도와줬어야 한다고 생각했다. 그는 천성적으로 다른 사람을 신경 쓰지 않는 것 같았다. 출납원은 강도의 태도에 점점 진저리가 났다. 그는 말솜씨가 없고, 끔찍하리만큼 자신감이 부족하며, 인질이나 경찰에 대한 입장도 불분명했다. 어떤 주장도 내세우지 않고 탈출 전략도 없이, 계속 어정쩡하게 있으려는 듯했다. 정말 한심했다.
강도가 카운터로 다가오자 출납원은 그의 멀뚱멀뚱한 표정을 보고 구역질이 났다. 자기 앞에 놓인 미래를 이해하지 못하고 직면할 용기도 없는 남자의 얼굴이었다.
“뭐야?”
강도가 묻자 출납원은 카운터 반대쪽으로 더플백을 밀쳤다. 그리고 경멸의 뜻을 잔뜩 담아 강도를 쳐다보며 양 팔을 넓게 벌렸다.
“제기랄, 그냥 나를 쏴!”
