My academic background includes a unique combination of fine arts, business administration and religion studies, accomplished in Korea and Canada. My professional experience, other than being a translator, is as a long-term teacher and short-term news reporter.
My knowledge expands to the fields of music and English literature, from my service as a pianist in church and my favorite activity of reading and studying novels from authors such as George Eliot, Joseph Conrad, Edith Wharton to Margaret Atwood.
I have translated nine English books into Korean, seven of which are on the market and the rest on the way. My translation work is much appreciated by those who know both languages, for its smooth reading and precise vocabulary. When engaged in Korean-to-English translation, I work with a native English-speaking editor, for which reason my work can be safely regarded as a final copy in no need of further fine-tuning.
Though my translation experience covers extensive areas including patent, government documents and software, I greatly enjoy working in the fields I have listed below. Once your job comes under my care, the quality and deadline are fully entrusted, and my guarantee can bring a peace of mind to you.
