Found an offer somewhere on the Net:

Project about time-management(general-slightly technical).

95000 words.

Turn-time : 5 months, maximum price €4200. Sounds attractive, but after calculation, this turns out to be €0.045/word. Who would bid on this one?

By the way, 95000 words is about 317 pages (?)

Depends fully on whether or not you can use CATs. If it is in Word, running the thing through trados analyse, or any other CAT for that matter, may give a different figure.



95000 words must include some reps and some fuzzy, so maybe after analyse, the price will not look as gloomy. The time limit is also very permissive, which is a good point too. (you could easily get 95000 words done in 2 months, so 5 months is like a benediction.



However, if you can not get any CAT leverage, 0.045 sucks. ▲ Collapse
