Hello everyone. I am not a regular CAT user but little by little I am doing more and more work with WordFast.

I would like to know your opinions about how WordFast performs with PowerPoint.

I tried using WordFast with one of the few rare PowerPoint files I translate and found it lacking, though potentially excellent. Wordfast would change the color and font at times and that really was a drag on my efficiency. I think that the later versions may have solved the probl

I would like to know your opinions about how WordFast performs with PowerPoint.

I tried using WordFast with one of the few rare PowerPoint files I translate and found it lacking, though potentially excellent. Wordfast would change the color and font at times and that really was a drag on my efficiency. I think that the later versions may have solved the problem. I am using version 3.35i which I believe is rather old.

If you have a recent version, please give me your comments about how well it performs with PowerPoint files (colors, fonts, etc.)

Thank you.

Potentially excellent Jan 29, 2004

Potentially excellent is the best description for Wordfast I have ever read. You really should upgrade to Wordfast 4.22. Jot down your old license number. Make copies of all your CAT files including the files in your Word/Startup folder. Install Wordfast 4.22 and try it out on a copy of a PowerPoint file. Wordfast still is potentially excellent in difficult situations but is great for normal PowerPoint jobs. If you're not happy you can still revert to your former situation.
