Hi colleagues, I received a package from a client. I worked on the project, and sent him the return package. He (a translation agency) sent me three comments and I need to make two changes on my translation but I can't open the return package to implement the changes. What can I do? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Lida | | | Roy Oestensen Denmark Local time: 14:23 Member (2010) English to Norwegian (Bokmal) + ... Just make the changes in your PROJECT then create a new RETURN PACKAGE (Studio automatically adds "_1" to the file name). For your information, package files (.sdlppx) and return package files (.sdlrpx) are simply renamed zip fles. you can open it if you have the very same sdlppx | Apr 6, 2018 |
Hi, having the original project, you simply need to import the return package. If you have removed the original package (sdlppx) and deleted it also from the project folder, then import it anew and immediately after that import the return package. I do it all the time when I do the QA. Giuliana

Yes, I do this often when clients ask me to make further edits to a project after I've delivered the return package. Simply open Trados, hope that the project is still in the list, open the project, make your edits, and then create a new return package again. DO NOT try to import the original forward package because it will overwrite all your edits. 2. Yes, I also thought/think that only someone with a more expensive version of Trados can open return packages. At first I did not understand what you mean, but now I do: yes, if you are the original creator of the forward package, then you can import the return package. But if you received the forward package from an agency, then you can't import a return package, and you should not import the same forward package a second time unless you want to lose all your edits.
