MultiTerm for compound words with common element

I have a large document with many related words all containing "Bericht"

For example:
Haushaltsbericht : budget report
Jahresbericht : annual report, annual review, annual return
Lagebericht : management report, operating review

I would like to make sure that these word are consistently translated as [x] report.

Is there an elegant way to use MultiTerm to ensure that the variant with "report" is us... See more

Is there an elegant way to use MultiTerm to ensure that the variant with "report" is used and flag the segments whenever a variant with "review" or "return" is used.

I’d like to be able to enter *bericht = report or something similar in MultiTerm.

Is there perhaps a way to do this with RegEx?

To check that "bericht" is translated as "report", you could code a regex such as

Project Settings: Verification: Regular Expressions
Condition: Grouped search expression - report if source matches but not target
Source: \b(\w*)bericht
Target: report

To match incorrect translations, such as "review"
you could change the Condition and Target regex

Or specify both

You can use the Advanced Display Filter for that Dec 29, 2021

Check the Regular Expression box in the Advanced Display Filter / Content tab.
Type bericht for source and ^(?>(?!\breport\b).)*$ for target. This will display all the segments where the word bericht is not translated as report exactly. In other words, if you apply the filter and it returns no results, it means that all the instances of bericht are consistently translated as report.

If you need to include other forms like reports or reporting, then remove a pair of \b's from the regular expression to read as ^(?>(?!report).)*$

Actually you can type any word instead of report in the above-mentioned regex if need be.
